I have a website with all kinds of gifts,candles,bath sets glass items,kitchen products,lawn&garden products and lots more.What can i do to get customers.I already have the pay per click and well its not working.Help please

"If you build it, they will come" is not necessarily true on the Web. Putting a website up is one thing, but getting visitors to come to your site is another. The process becomes even more difficult if you have limited resources to market your business.

Here are some shoestring marketing ideas that can help you get the visitors you need at the least cost possible:

1. Create the best content you can with the best products you can possibly offer. Your content is your best advertisement - if visitors love your content, then they will go back and spread the word to others.

2. Make it easy for users to recommend your site. Viral marketing is very important -- and easy to tap on the Web. But give your users the tools. 4. Send out press releases. While outfits charge as much as $650 per release, there are free press release submission places on the Web. Press releases allow you to (a) attract media attention; (b) get more back links to your website without sending each website an email request; and (c) get more visibility especially if your press release gets in Google News or Yahoo News. 5. Submit articles. Write articles and submit them to websites accepting author submissions. You get exposure for your business; establishes you as an authority in your field, and allows you to get backlinks for your website. The more links you have, the greater your chances for increasing your search engine rankings.

I mistakenly bought this online as a Christmas present for a friend.
As I was happily clicking away I clicked on this one instead of the other product in the same range that I really wanted and didn´t notice till now. My mate doesn´t even have a garden :(

The spiky thing in the middle is apparently a "bath ball"......What does it do?

You wash your body with it - kind of like a loofah. It is made out of spongy material.

I had to examine it closely. There are also bath balls that you hang from your shower to dechlorinate the water, add aroma to the room or fizz to the bath.

my mom is turning 58 this year next month---her favorite flower is Sunflowers and she is an AVID gardener...what can I get her?
I was thinking maybe a sunflower set of garden stuff-like garden gloves with sunflowers on them, a flower pot with sunflowers on them, some stuff like that...where can I get gardening tools with sunflowers on them...or really any nice sunflower gift?
I hate to say this, but since I got a new place I'm on a budget and can not spend more than $50-$75 this year (I wish I had more to work with...)

you can always try Home Depot, Lowes or any other hardware store that also has a gardening department.

Or you could look up your local greenhouses and buy stuff from there. Where I live, there is a local Amish farmer's market that sells a lot of gardening stuff & plants.

Hi, I want to make a gardening gift basket for my mother in law for her birthday. What are some practical things I can put into the planter. I am setting everything up in a rustic wheel barrel planter I purchased. I also wanted to add some extra things...and I thought of a nail brush and nice hand cream any other extras come to mind that I should add? Thanks a lot.



P.S. I don't want to include seed packets or bulbs, since she already has most of that stuff

Nice gloves are always a plus and any good, sturdy hand tools. Good quality pruners are hard to come by, she would probably appreciate that. If you're in the city, include a couple bags of composted manure. Try to find some plants she may not have. I don't know your zone, but prickly pear are a fun cactus that are hardy in zone 5+ and maybe even zone 4. Agave is another underused succulent. Tons of varieties - really cool.

How about a wreath or sign she can post on her door - "In the Garden". Garden catalogs are always fun too. Tons available , most in full color. A nice sun hat, sunscreen, lip balm w/sunscreen are also nice gifts. Ohhh, I have a garden tote bag that I absolutely love! You can store your tools or whatever inside and there is pockets all around the outside. I think it's waterproof too. Special hose nozzles are a good gift, a trellis, decorative outdoor pots, a fountain. After the budget I need some ideas, lol. I knew a couple who were married 30 years and still had the same set of bathroom towels they received as a gift on their wedding day. They were proud of this fact! Another woman I work with told me she bought an old house, and when she went to move in the previous owner had not only taken all the light bulbs, but the rose bushes out of the garden too!! Do you have any similar stories?

For me it was the neighbouring farmer's wife, who used to knit dishcloths from the thread that used to seal the animal feed bags. She also wore old underslips as nightdresses.
NB. I have been married 38 years, and still have unused wedding present linens. Perhaps I was lucky, as I had a lot.
