He has been a Master Gardener almost 20 years. He has every garden book ever written and every garden tool ever made. The gift must be related to gardening because anything else won't be noticed. I live with him & my sister (also a Master Gardener) and I owe them both a lot. It needs to be special, personal & garden related. Oh ya, no plants. Big rule around here, no incoming foliage of any kind. He hasn't the time to care for what he has now. A real jungle around here. A trip to a fancy garden in Pango Pango is out as my budget just maxed out at $200.00. No books, no tools, no plants. Oy? What to get the man who has everything, garden related, $200.00 budget. HELP!

Find a garden showplace within driving distance that is featuring their garden in bloom.Take them both. When you call about the place fot time, etc. Ask if you can bring a nice food basket, cardtable,cloth,wine,etc. Have a nice time walking around and then eating while viewing the beautiful flowers. Ask if there will be someone there who will answer questions or give tours. Your expenses will be gas, fee or donation into the garden, a nice basket lunch-not sandwiches and maybe you can find a special bulb or tool there, that you bro-in-law seems interested in that you can buy.You will be sharing his passion of gardening and giving him a great gift. It is nice to see that someone cares and respects his family! Have fun!

My father passed away a couple months ago and I want to get my mom something special. She loves to garden and my dad and her use to share that bond. Is there any new great gardening tools or things out there that you recommend?

How about a nice big basket, the size she could take into the garden to put her gear and any produce in, and fill it with new hand tools, seeds, gardening gloves, and maybe a gift certificate to her favorite garden store--if a nearby garden center doesn't offer them, Lowe's has great plants and a lot of gardening supplies.

I thought Dunkin' Donuts had 35 varieties of doughnuts. I do not patronize them much, but I won a gift certificate for a dozen. When I went into my local franchise, they only had about 9. Is how many flavors offered decided by the local manager or the size of the store? Our local one is about the size of an average garden tool shed. I don't think they even make the doughnuts there.

It varies upon Dunkin Donuts store. I went to a Dunken Donuts at a train station and they only had two: glazed and chocolate

My husband loves to work in our garden, and I want to get him some type of gardening gift, but as I am not a gardener, I don't know what would be good. He has all of the basic gardening tools, but I want to get him something fancy. What is a gift that would knock a gardener's socks off? Also, what is an exotic flower that would grow well in the mid Atlantic region of the US?

How about some top of the range Felco secateurs with a holster and belt - so he can keep them to hand ... or ... a hammock so he can sit and survey his work ... or ... a really beautiful centrepiece urn or statue .... or .... a specimen tree like a Davidia Involucrata (Pocket handkerchief tree)? I'd love any or all of the above! :-)

my mom is turning 58 this year next month---her favorite flower is Sunflowers and she is an AVID gardener...what can I get her?
I was thinking maybe a sunflower set of garden stuff-like garden gloves with sunflowers on them, a flower pot with sunflowers on them, some stuff like that...where can I get gardening tools with sunflowers on them...or really any nice sunflower gift?
I hate to say this, but since I got a new place I'm on a budget and can not spend more than $50-$75 this year (I wish I had more to work with...)
I'm open to ideas and suggestions-any help greatly appreciated

you can always try Home Depot, Lowes or any other hardware store that also has a gardening department.

Or you could look up your local greenhouses and buy stuff from there. Where I live, there is a local Amish farmer's market that sells a lot of gardening stuff & plants.
