They've become really weathered. A good washing just isn't enough to revive them. I will be using Rustoleum for plastic, spray paint. I don't want grey, I was thinking taupe or ivory (like a Lenox color). I have fairies, angels, kids and religious statues throughout my gardens and don't want them to be gaudy, just to stand out in an elegant way. Any thoughts?
I used some concrete texture paint for a resin bird bath and it turned out very beautiful. I can't remember the name of the paint, but it is a spray, and comes in different shades. It makes resins and plastics look like concrete, but the shade I selected has tiny red, blue, and yellow (muted colors) flecks in it.

would cosider any type of bear statue for my garden, resin is lightest to transport, looking for new or secondhand.prefer bear standing on hind legs over four foot tall, have seen one in garden but owner was given it and had no idea of origin, will not sell either.many thanks.
A 'rampant bear' ie standing on hind legs, is the emblem of Warwickshire. I recently saw one on a visit to Warwick castle, in a charity shop, it was made of plastic or fibre glass, I'm no expert, it would be about 4' tall. The colour was dark brown. I thought it rather odd at the time, your question reminded me of this bear.
The statues should be able to withstand the weather all year round. Resin would be good as it is lightweight for putting on fence posts but other material would be okay as well.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
I want to make some garden statues and stepping stones like they sell at the garden stores. Most are made out of a polyresin. Where do I buy it and is it easy to use? Where can I find out more about this material and how to use it?
I use materials from Smooth On. They are very good. Used by Hollywood special Effects. They have mold materials and casting resins in many varieties
